NATIONALS & Classic CLUBS Secretary Administration

The National and Classic clubs have a different structure to the clubs and federation structure. The National Race Secretary is in complete control of all administration tasks. This involves the following tasks.

1. Making a decision of whether a new member is in the radius of your club and allocating them to the correct section.

2. Downloading from the cloud the first time you login brings down the membership stored on the RPRA database for your club. I would suggest sending in your RPRA list before downloading from the cloud and then you wont have to make all the changes yourself!! (Good tip!)

3. Set up all your sections within the software.

4. Setup your club’s marking stations and clock stations.

5. Allocate all your members to the correct sections and clock station and marking station.

Please note when a fancier enters a race online they choose their clock station and marking station. If they alter a marking station or clock station online it will automatically update your records. (PigeonOnline Form A Entry).

Race Programme

The secretary designs the Race Programme exactly the same way as task 4 above. It is the same format. However, due to your permissions you will see that you have some extra functionality built in! You can set up filtered races e.g. YB Gold Ring Race which extracts the birds from the main race. Similar it can do the same with Old Hens you can always ask us which would be the best way to produce a separate result.

You may wish to keep your verification races separate from the main race. PigeonOnline Verification Service pulls the data down from the online verifications and with one click you can process the result and publish to PigeonOnline so that fanciers can observe the leaderboard. The verification can take any number of birds e.g. MNFC 1st Bird Only or some organisations want all arrivals uploaded.

Upload your Race Program to the cloud.

Club Members completing Form B Race Entry Sheet Online (See video Tutorial

For National Races fanciers will be encouraged to complete their  FORM B Race Entry sheet using PigeonOnline see task below. This is very easy for the fancier to use.

The benefit to the National Secretary is hours of work saved matching up Form A pool entries with Form B Race Entry Sheets and their actual birds results. Having been a National Secretary for 8 seasons I know this is the biggest part to the job. What took several days or physically matching sheets can be done within a couple of hours checking using the auto match button in the software. (See video tutorial)

Producing the necessary documentation for Channel Events. Marking Stations have all FORM B Race Entry information. All that is necessary if the pigeons to be marked using normal procedures and basket numbers allocated in the software. (Observe video tutorial).

The key to the process is fanciers completing Form B Race Entry Sheet PigeonOnline.

Producing the Verification Result

Choose Calculate Results, select the Verification Race. Click the left button Provisional Results and the Online verification data transfers into a unique batch file for the race. Select the file and press calculate results. The Online entries will automatically calculate the velocities for the members and result displayed on the screen. The secretary checks the result for any irregularities and can amend the result in the normal way if required. The result can be published to the Cloud straight away. We removed the fully automatic verification result after consultation. The secretary checks the result and publishes the result. Telephone verifications are still being sent to the secretaries these require manual input. Using PigeonOnline reduces the workload for secretaries.
